Down the TBR Hole is a meme/feature hosted by Lia (Lost in a Story). Hopefully this will remind me to read some of these long-lost, woeful books that have been sitting untouched, forgotten on these bookshelves of mine.
Rules
- Go to your goodreads to-read shelf.
- Order on ascending date added.
- Take the first 5 books
- Read the synopses of the books
- Decide: keep it or should it go?
I've added a twist: if there are any books that I do decide to let go, I'm going to host a giveaway. First person who says they want it, gets it! Aussie only. (After one month, I will put them up for donation/sale.)
Let's get started!
Current TBR count: 441
This sounds so mysterious and fantastical. And I love Libba Bray's writing to bits. If it's any bit as good as The Diviners I am sure to fall for this series. It's just been sitting on the shelves unread for so long because of the sheer LENGTH of these books! I will read these someday!
Verdict: KEEP
Release date: 01/09/2009
I have honestly been on the fence about this book for years... probably why I still have not picked it up! It sounds interesting, and I do like fairytale retellings, and I'm all for GLBT characters, but I think if I do want to read this in the future I'll pick it up at the library. I'm going to finally let this one go.
Verdict: GO (still available)
Release date: 05/07/2003
I will get around to reading this one someday... If I don't then I will never be able to watch the movie! :O Yeah. I'm terrible. Please make me read this one. I've heard so much about it, and the premise is unique and intriguing. I definitely want to keep this one around for the day that I get to pick it up.
Verdict: KEEP
I was so excited for this series. I loved Godbersen's Beautiful Young Things series, but I also think that I was at the right age to read it. Reading the synopsis of The Luxe... it sounds super catty and just, I'm not as interested to read it. Not like before. I might catch it at the library one day...
Verdict: GO (still available)
This Lullaby by Sarah Dessen
Release date: 27/05/2002
Yes! Definitely keeping this, and will read soon, I hope! I really do want to read more Sarah Dessen in the future, but especially This Lullaby and Just Listen - I've heard that both of them are standouts. Plus, look at that beautiful cover!
