Blog Hop (9) | Follow Friday (6)

Book Blogger Hop
Hey fellow bloggers and/or readers,

READ ON FOR EXTRA ENTRIES FOR MY CURRENT CONTEST! ;)

Thanks for hopping along to my little blog. :) Hope you enjoy your visit, and like what you see. If you do, feel free to follow.

If you'd like to hop around, too, then visit Jennifer at Crazy for Books for all the details!

This week's question comes from Vicki who blogs at The Wolf's Den:

"What are your feelings on losing followers? Have you ever stopped following a blog?"

It's sad, but it really can't be stopped, can it? I don't actually notice when I lose a follower anymore. That, or I haven't lost one in a while. I'm not really all that sure; but, bottom line, followers are nothing compared to people who actually comment. It's nice when people take the time out to respond to what I say on here. :)

I think I have stopped following one or two. There are a few I'm following that are kind of drivel, meaning they don't post any meaningful content; a paragraph constitutes a review; or the only posts they have are for linking to giveaways. The list goes on. Main reason why I don't unfollow that often: I'm super lazy. That's it. I'm sure there are other people out there like me. I'll probably try and get rid of some soon, though. Thanks for reminding me, Vicki!

Hosted by Parajunkee's View, another feature meme through which you can discover new blog sites. :) If you follow me, comment and I'll follow you back without fail.

Here's this week's question:

Who are your favorite authors??

All my favourite authors are contemporary YA authors. They like to keep it real! :D

2 Bonus points for Elevensies Love if you can tell me what's significant about these colours.
It's really random!! Think food. Email me at cc932005(at)hotmail(dot)com with your answer/s.

Hi, Cass! Old follower here, just hopping by. :)

Have a nice weekend!

-Len of Musings of a Reader Happy
Hello Cass just an older follower stopping through! I like your picks although I still have to read Holly Cupala and Jandy Nelson. I will have to make sure they are on my next book order :)
Hi,
Just following through on the hop :) I think sometimes people's taste just changes, and you are right - you can't stop it :)

Hey!
I was too lazy to post the "Book Blogger Hop". I love your choices of books. I recently won Tell me a Secret and The Sky Is Everywhere , so I am looking forward to reading them.
My favorite authors are Sarah Dunant, Kate Morton, Margaret Atwood, Tana French and Joyce Carol Oates.
Hello! Old follower! I have yet to read Jay Asher, Holly Cupala and Gayle Forman...which reminds me I have some books I need to read! Ugh! My stack keeps getting higher. How are you doing on NaNoWriMo?! I'm just hoping I don't lose my week 1 momentum!
Just hopping through! I'm a new follower and would love it if you would follow me back at (openbookemptycup.blogspot.com). I have never stopped following a blog thus far and some of my favorite authors right now are Elizabeth Kostova, Suzanne Collins, J.K. Rowling, Kelly Armstrong, Kami Garcia and Margaret Stohl.

Have a great weekend :)
Hey there!
I think I've lost followers but after you get to over 200-300 followers, it's impossible to figure out who left and why. I do have a few people who follow my blog who seem to have zero interest in writing (I think they think my blog is a Christian blog because of the title--The Word is My Oyster). So yeah, it makes me a little sad, but overall I try not to stress about it!
Happy Friday, Cass! I've lost plenty of followers, especially during my hiatus, but rather than get bogged down, I realized that I'd rather have a lesser amount of dedicated followers than tons of followers who don't care what I write :)
Hiya! Hopping through parajunkee's friday follow; I couldn't agree more with your views! ;-) I, too, prefer meaningful comments rather than gadgets that sometimes don't really indicate much of anything ;-)

Cheers!

Hopping through. I didn't know Jandy was writing a new book! So exciting! I can't wait for it.
I'm always a little bummed when I lose followers but make every effort to
turn every lost follower into a learning experience so I can improve my
performance.

On the flip side, I only stop following people when they give me a reason to
such as being totally off message or being too controversial in an negative,
over-the-top way.

Happy Book Blogger Hop Friday!

I haven't actually noticed ever losing followers but I sometimes unfollow blogs when I've only started following them for competitions and then don't see any reason to continue reading the blog but most of the time they just sit on my blog list for months going unvisited.
