"Do you ever wish you would have named your blog something different?"

To be simple, no. While at first "Words on Paper" was just meant to be a temporary title, I got used to it, and now I can't imagine my blog being named anything else.

I knew I wanted something related to books, but also with a little originality, so the actual word "books" or the like was out. I'm not like some other (clever) bloggers, whose blog title actually affects their rating system or choice of words. The title just is.

I'm also on board with the GLEE fans, and I'm sure many of you who are reading this are fans too, so I'd like to not talk too much about it. Other than that the last episode I did watch was the Christmas special, which I enjoyed.

I'm also really into How I Met Your Mother, The Big Bang Theory, while Friends & The Nanny remain all-time favourites.

What book influenced or changed your life? How did it influence/change you?

Due to my love of contemporary novels, and that most of my top favourite YA are involved with death in some way, I'd say that books in the general sense have opened up my mind to possibilities: that life is even more precious than we can take for granted.

Unfortunately, I usually don't remember at which blogs I discover new books. I've got Girl Wonder by Alexa Martin and Sprinkles and Secrets by Lisa Shroeder--I remember adding these when a fellow blogger posted a list of upcoming reads they'd just discovered. Could have been Cover Love, in the first book's case.

What is the thing you like most about reading book blogs? Is it the reviews, author guest posts, articles, giveaways, or something else entirely?

I used to love finding out what people got in their mailboxes every week, but eventually I couldn't keep up, and also got a bit jealous of the cool books others got, even when I got some pretty  awesome ones. Now I only view the mailbox of those bloggers I really like.

I love the discovering of new books, of finding new opinions about books . . . just the whole thing. The giveaways don't hurt either. ;)

Do you have an under-noticed author that you think we should all know about?

Elizabeth Isaacs for her debut novel, THE LIGHT OF ASTERIA. It is one of the only fantasy type YA novel that I found deeply interesting, breath-taking, action-packed, romantic, and all of that other good stuff. She's a self-published author, but her writing is beautiful--her descriptions of scenery flow so smoothly that I found myself in the actual scenes!

 "What very popular and hyped book in the blogosphere did you NOT enjoy and how did you feel about posting your review?"

I think that a lot of popular and hyped up books are for good cause, and I'm generally happy with the books that I pick up because of its popularity. One book that I can say I've been let down, even a little bit, by the hype, is Matched, which is actually a really good book. It just wasn't as good as I'd made it up to be. However, books such as Before I Fall (and more specifically, DELIRIUM!!) and Anna and the French Kiss . . . wow.

What do you do besides reading / reviewing as a hobby??

I don't have nearly as many hobbies as I used to, before I started blogging, since it occupies a lot of my time. However, I like writing . . . mainly poetry. Because I can never get too far into a story. :| I enjoy bike riding, as well as swimming and tennis, but I don't get to do either of them enough to qualify as a hobby.

Mostly, I just watch TV, if I'm not reading or blogging, or on the computer in general. That said, I do play a few games. Also, not nearly as much as I used to. I like to listen to music? I used to play the guitar, but that . . . kind of died. Just not interested in it. At least at the moment.

My first blog post was in mid-June. I've been blogging for 5 months now--my blog is about as old as my dog, Tofu. It's funny to think that it's been so long already, and yet there are people who have at it for YEARS. I can't wait to hit my 1st blogoversary. :)

If you find a book that looks interesting, but is part of a series, do you always
start with the first title?

I usually always do. I've won a couple of sequels, and I won't read them until I've read the first books. However, there was one time I read the sequel before the first, though it wasn't so much of a carry-on of the plot, rather than a re-visitation of the characters.

I spent around $60 this-last month.

"What are your feelings on losing followers? Have you ever stopped following a blog?"

It's sad, but it really can't be stopped, can it? I don't actually notice when I lose a follower anymore. That, or I haven't lost one in a while. I'm not really all that sure; but, bottom line, followers are nothing compared to people who actually comment. It's nice when people take the time out to respond to what I say on here. :)

I think I have stopped following one or two. There are a few I'm following that are kind of drivel, meaning they don't post any meaningful content; a paragraph constitutes a review; or the only posts they have are for linking to giveaways. The list goes on. Main reason why I don't unfollow that often: I'm super lazy. That's it. I'm sure there are other people out there like me. I'll probably try and get rid of some soon, though. Thanks for reminding me, Vicki!

If you have, or would have a daughter, what book would you want your daughter to read?

I'd just want her to read, period! As a child, I didn't read that much, even missing out on Harry Potter until about year 8 (13/14 years old). It'd make me so proud if she loved contemporary YA novels as much as I did, but so long as she reads, I'll be happy either way.

(Obviously I don't have a daughter right now--come on, I'm 17 years old. )

Hey there. Blog hopping for the sixth time around, and I've found a few more blogs that are worth mentioning. :) But firstly, if you check it out at Crazy-For-Books.com, Crazy Jennifer has asked yet another question. This week, the question is:

"Who is your favorite new-to-you author so far this year?"

Well, I barely knew any authors before this year...so, my favourite author? Hard question, since most of the books I've loved have been debut, standalones. I think I will say Sara Shepard, who is the sole reason I got into reading in the first place. She also introduced me to this thing called YA. This amazing world was going on and I had no idea for all this time. I'm so glad I picked up Pretty Little Liars, because it is one of the most addictive series I've ever read/seen. This is one of those series/books I am waiting to buy.

Hey there. Blog hopping for the second time around, and I've found a few more blogs that are worth mentioning. :) But firstly, if you check it out at Crazy-For-Books.com, Crazy Jennifer has added a new twist. This week, the question is:

"Tell us your NAME and WHY YOU STARTED BLOGGING"

Simple question. Okay, so my name is Cassandra, but I don't really enjoy being called that, I much prefer Cass (also because THEN I can't get mixed up between the 'Sandra's in my school/the world). I started blogging, I guess, as a way to keep a record on the books that I read, also as a way of communicating my thoughts on books and just getting out there in the blogging community. I've actually tried a few blogs before, for other things other than books, but so far this one has been the most successful/long-lasting. Also, when I was starting up, I was just imagining how wonderful it would be if, in a few months' time I could have like 100+ followers and a solid place in the blogging community.
I think that would be a great escape from the pressures and the stress that senior year in school has been putting me through.
